Coup d’etat
This 850 sq ft new-build barn is tucked away in Elbert, and acts as a bird sanctuary for Leap of Faith Animal Rescue.
The owners wanted a strong sense of history to be infused in the building, and the stone cruciform took it's cues from the architecture of the main residence on the property. The silhouette of the barn conversion was inspired by the grain silos prevalent in Saskatchewan, where the owner spent many summers as a child on the family farm.
The building currently houses over 30 rescued fowl, from ducks, turkeys, and of course, chickens.
